These photographs were inspired by an unfortunate habit which I fear many of us don’t even realize we have. It is a habit that prevents us from fully appreciating the world around us, a habit which dulls our surroundings, you could even say it is a habit that stops us seeing the beauty in everyday life. So what is it? It is our tendency to ignore the world around us, to be focused on the past or the present but never be in the now. It means we don’t stop to take in the scenery, we don’t marvel at nature’s wonders or stunning urban landscapes, we do not appreciate the colours and scents around us. It is only recently that I rid myself of this habit when I took up photography. Suddenly everything was a potential photo, and I began to see more and more beauty in the world!
Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been gone for so long! But the good news is, is that I have a brand new makeup look that is perfect for everyday activities and easy to do!
What you will need:
-Eyeshadow- Base, light and dark earth tones like: taupe or dust and also a shimmery one that is close to your skin tone
-Eye shadow and angle brushes
Step one: The Eye shadow: Apply the base color all over your eye. Then, take a light earth tone of your choice and apply it to your lid. I chose a very light green earth tone. After that is all over your eye lid, take a dark eyeshadow and apply it to your crease with and angle brush. When you get close to your bottom lid take the angle brush and line it up with your water line and extend the line of it (this will make the point of the eye shadow) then connect it to the line to the line you were making in you crease then blend.
*OPTIONAL* take your angle brush and put a little bit of matte black eye shadow on your bottom lashline to make your bottom lashes look fuller. You can also line your water line with black liner.
Step two: The Eye Liner: Take your liner and simply line your top lid, as thick, or as thin as you want. then do the same thing you did with your eye shadow to make the wing of the liner. Start where the bottom and the top lid meet and extend the line out matching the natural curve of you water line. Then connect the line back to the line you made on tour top lash line.
Step Three:Finishing Touch: Apply black mascara of your choice.
When I don’t feel like doing all the steps to my full out makeup routine there is one look I stick too. It’s neutral its not too much and its not too little. These are the steps I take to get this look: (p.s. don’t look at my nails! (/.\ )
Step one: I start of by moisturizing and priming my face. After that I apply my foundation evenly across my entire face.
Step two: I add a base, lid, and crease eye shadow to my eyes. Today I used a shimmering cream color (close to the color of my skin) and taupe that was almost matte but had a bit of shine to it. I also filled in my eyebrows. This isn’t a very loud look and I’m sorry if you can’t see it well in the picture.
Step three: In the final step, all I did were finishing touches. Added some blush, Mascara, and some lip gloss.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
